The Stags is an original 1960's Rock n' Roll garage band from Oregon City, Oregon formed in 1964. They played the greater Portland, OR area through the late 60's. Some of you "golden oldies" may remember many of the places they played back in the day, such as The Teenage Fair at the Coliseum (which they won their division), D Street Corral, Springers, Lake Oswego Armory, just to mention a few. In 2007 the guys got back together to jam and decided to re-form the band.
The band's main musical influences come from The Zombies, The Kinks, The Animals, and most anything from the 60's Northwest music genre.
They are available for private parties, Hot Rod runs & shows, the local bar & tavern scene, etc....
The Stags would like to welcome Mark Gensman as the newest member of the band. Mark plays saxophone
and sings harmony vocals. Mark's background comes from the Portland area and some of you
may remember his first bands; The Jokers Wild (62) The Jackasses (64) and The Midnight Sons (65-66).
